BULAWAYO-based author Tinashe Walter Timothy, well known as Walter Tynash, has released three books that help readers navigate the complex world of relationships; from courtship to marriage.
The triple release comprises of of the following book titles—Dating & Courtship, The Keys for Successful Relationships and Becoming a Complementary Spouse.
Speaking with ZimSphere, Walter Tynash explained his inspiration for writing as a deeper divine purpose. Tynash was driven to explore about relationships after he had struggled as a youth to find answers on how to identify the right partner.
"As a youth, I struggled to find answers on how to identify the right partner and maintain a fulfilling relationship. After 3 years of studying the Bible, psychology, and philosophy, I discovered the meaning and purpose of relationships. It wasn't about seeking external validation, but rather uncovering a deeper, divine purpose that drove me to explore further," he explained.
Tynash went on further to break down the content within his three books: "In Dating and Courtship, I explore the purpose and distinctions between courtship, dating, and marriage; offering insights into these significant life stages. In Keys for Successful Relationships, I reveal the foundational keys to sustaining a thriving relationship and uncover the true essence of romantic love.
"In Becoming a Complementary Spouse, I share insights on how to become the best partner possible; drawing inspiration from my parents' relationship which I consider a model of complementary partnership."
Born in 1998 in Mutare, Tynash was raised by both his parents who he describes as his greatest inspiration. He reflects much on their relationship in his writings considering that they shaped his perspective. While his parents are the inspiration, the 27 year-old author revealed that his creative process is inspired by the late American author Jim Rohn; a legend in personal development genre.
"My writing process is inspired by Jim Rohn's wisdom, I prioritize self-improvement after work. My discipline involves writing about relationships late at night after work and journaling during the day to capture insights and reflections, which I then develop further in my late-night writing sessions," described Tynash.
Tynash lists his biggest creative challenge as finding it difficult to separate personal experiences from the content in the books.
"One of the biggest hurdles I faced in writing about relationships was separating my own emotions and experiences from the content, especially in the early stages. However, I’ve managed to overcome this challenge by speaking on relationships with different perspectives without really considering my own experience and emotions," he said.
To conclude, Tynash revealed that his next book is scheduled to release in September. The book is a bit of a departure from relationships, titled Stages of Career Success.
