The PreacherMan brings you his 7th headline show at Batanai Gardens, 6 June. |
In an interview with ZimSphere, The PreacherMan said the upcoming event is a celebration of his recent wedding, which took place in March this year.
“Now that I'm Married is more than a show but a celebration as I finally tied the knot back in March 2025 after a 10 year relationship. I want people to know my story about how exciting and interesting this transition is.
“We have great comedians alongside Chipenzi and Tino Lebohang to support the show. The two are definitely breaking grounds each year to become some of the best comics in the nation,” explained The PreacherMan
“The show will be hosted by another emerging comedian MC Josh, who happens to be The PreacherMan's little brother.
"I would say he is the funniest in the family and a generational talent,” commented The PreacherMan.
Also set to perform at the show are three gospel musicians Shema Maposa, Anotida Masiya and Twele.
2025 have been good for Shema and Twele as they continue making names for themselves more and more performing. The comedy night at Batanai Gardens will add to their repertoire, whilst giving attendees a great fusion of comic relief and uplifting music.
Meanwhile, it will be a debut performance for Anotida, who promised a unique performance of his Gospel Reggae sound. Such a relatable combination has the potential to make waves in the gospel music industry.
The PreacherMan, who returned to comedy last year in September, said he is keeping his content fresh for his 7th show by making it relevant to his and his fans' lived experience.
“I am keeping my content fresh for my 7th show by making it relevant within my surroundings. It is all about making it relevant with those around you and as long as it is relevant, it's always fresh
“I balance humor with the Word of God not with people's emotions. If my conscience is clear I don't think twice about it,” he shared.
The comic explained that the material in his craft is Biblical and his story telling and the style of presentation is getting better and better.
“I want more and more Christians to be entertained so my material is Biblical and I will forever be faithful to that call.”
“The story telling and the style of presentation has definitely gotten better. I can't wait to continue getting better,” he described.
Looking beyond the 6 June comedy night, The PreacherMan is also planning to perform across Zimbabwe, starting in Mutare.
“After Harare show we shall definitely be heading out to Mutare and by the Grace of God try Bulawayo as we try to expand this Godly Expressed Entertainment movement,” he concluded.
