KUDZAI CHITSATSO

HARARE based Afro-fusion musician has released a brand new love song titled 3 Course Meal produced by South African based production company Zimbarock Music, whilst the vocals were recorded by Nyasha Timbe.

Yaya Saru

Yaya  Saru, who has been consistently releasing new music this year including Don't Wake Me Up and Ndokumirira, said the new song compares the stages of love to a sumptuous meal.

Zimsphere had an exclusive interview with the musician about her new single and her plans beyond this release.

What made you call it 3 Course Meal? Is love really broken down into starter, main, and dessert for you?

Yes. I wanted to compare love to a three-course meal. Real love has stages—you enjoy the beginning, grow through the middle, and finish with something sweet if you nurture it well.

Is the song based on a real person or a mix of experiences?

It's inspired by different experiences and observations about love. Many people will find a piece of themselves in the song.

What kind of love are you serving in this song?

A love that's genuine, patient, exciting, and worth investing in.

Yaya Saru

What's the one lyric that hits you the most every time you sing it?

"I'll serve you love worth remembering." That line reminds me what real love should feel like.

What do you hope people feel or do when they hear it?

I hope they smile, dance, sing along, and appreciate the people they love.

Does 3 Course Meal fit into a bigger project?

Yes, definitely. It's part of a bigger musical journey, and there's more exciting music on the way.

Will we get a music video for the song?

Absolutely. I already have a visual concept in mind, and I can't wait for everyone to experience the song in a whole new way.
