CHIRUNDU’s very own Afro Jazz crooner Tawanda Chishato, better known as Shatz The African Musician, has dropped a brand new love song titled Ndiwe (It's You), complete with the official video.

Shatz' sound embraces Zimbabwean culture, whilst infusing Afro Jazz and reggae to create a modern sound. To date, he has released three albums; Shanduka in 2021, Zano Ndiwe in 2023 and The Emergency Album in 2024. Currently, Shattz is working on his fourth album scheduled for release later this year .
His latest release, Ndiwe, is a heartfelt love song that celebrates true love, commitment, and the joy of finding that one special person.
Speaking with ZimSphere on the release the song, Shatz broke down the video, “The concept behind the video is about showing the world the beauty of love is. As the elders say, ‘He who finds a woman has found a good thing.”
He also revealed that the video was shot in his home town of Chirundu, an ode to his loyal fans who have backed him since the beginning. “We shot the video in the streets of Chirundu, I wanted to give our Chirundu fans a sense of belonging with our music. We have been doing videos in other locations like Harare, Kariba and Karoi and this time we had to give our community something that they can identify as theirs,” explained Shatz.
To conclude, Shatz described the feeling he hopes the song will invoke in listeners, “I want people to relate this song to the experiences of their daily real life. I always aim to be real in my music and deliver something relatable. That is the priority, because music belongs to the people. I also hope the song inspires those already in unions to stay still and strong with the belief that their partners are the right ones for them.”
