Kenyan Afropop singer Victoria Kimani has teamed up with Zimbabwean DJs and producers Dr Feel and DJ Stavo on “Joy”, a collaboration set to feature on the upcoming Inner Visions Afro House compilation.

Scheduled for release on 27 November 2026 through South African label Mansa Musa Records, Inner Visions brings together 16 Zimbabwean DJs, producers and artists in a project curated by Zimbabwean-born, Johannesburg-based producer Dr Feel.
The compilation seeks to highlight the depth of Zimbabwe's Afro House scene while creating opportunities for local artists to connect with audiences beyond the country's borders.

On “Joy”, Victoria Kimani contributes lead vocals and songwriting, bringing her Afropop and R&B influences into a production shaped by Dr Feel and DJ Stavo.

The collaboration is particularly interesting for the way it connects artists from different African music scenes. Kimani has established herself within East Africa's Afropop landscape, while Dr Feel and DJ Stavo have built their careers within the electronic and dance music space.

Their collaboration reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of African music, where artists are finding common ground across genres and geographical boundaries.

For Zimbabwean audiences, DJ Stavo's involvement is another notable addition to a compilation that aims to bring together both established and emerging names within the country's electronic music scene.

Rather than focusing solely on individual artists and their international achievements, Inner Visions takes a collective approach, presenting Zimbabwean Afro House as a broader musical movement with its own range of sounds, influences and creative identities. The inclusion of Victoria Kimani also adds another dimension to the project, demonstrating how collaborations with artists from elsewhere on the continent can introduce different musical influences while maintaining the compilation's Zimbabwean foundation.

With its release approaching, Inner Visions presents an opportunity for Zimbabwe's Afro House community to showcase its collective output to a wider audience.

Whether the project achieves its international ambitions will ultimately depend on how the music connects with listeners, but collaborations such as “Joy” offer an indication of the direction Dr Feel and his collaborators are pursuing.
