Hot100 Zimbabwe sees subtle power shifts as January Week 3 takes shape

ZIMSPHERE

The Hot100 Zimbabwe Chart enters Week 3 of January 2026 with notable reordering inside the Top 5 and a surge of momentum-driven movement further down the rankings.

Mr Attention’s 'Handinyore' returns to the very top, climbing one place to reclaim No.1 and reassert its dominance. The record’s ability to stay at the summit highlights sustained listener engagement.

Directly beneath it, HLGM’s 'Mwari Aripo' continues its impressive ascent, rising two places to No.2. What initially entered the chart as a promising new release is now fully embedded among the frontrunners, translating momentum into real chart authority. Jah Prayzah’s 'Ruzhowa' holds its ground at No.3, registering no movement and once again proving its reliability in the upper tier. Nutty O’s 'Too Much' experiences a notable slide, dropping two places to No.4, while Atenda Chinx’s 'Makoti' completes the Top 5, holding steady and maintaining its presence among the chart’s elite.

Movement inside the Top 10 comes as a show of tightening contest rather than dramatic swings. Takura’s 'Vendor ' slips a position to No.8, hinting at a pause after its earlier run. Raymer’s 'Kapoto' edges upward to No.9, benefiting from renewed traction, as the rest of the Top 10 shows controlled reshuffling rather than disruption.

Beyond the Top 10, several records continue to anchor themselves through consistency. The most compelling movement this week unfolds in the middle and lower sections of the chart. Nashie Zim’s 'Apa' makes a decisive push, surging 17 places to No.12, placing it firmly on the brink of the Top 10 conversation.

That momentum is echoed by Nashie Zim’s 'Mwana Wangu' which delivers one of the week’s most dramatic climbs, jumping 33 places to No.17. Blot’s 'Ndokuda Babie' also announces itself as a rising force, soaring 30 positions to No.24, while Master H continues a quiet but effective climb with 'Wakaluza' moving to No.13 and 'Haudi Kudiwa' rising to No.14.

Elsewhere, Learn Zimbabwe’s 'Moyo Wangu' inches upward to No.23, and Hulengende’s 'Ibvai' gains further ground by climbing to No.34. Jnr Spragga’s 'How Far' advances seven places to No.28, contrasting with Saintfloew’s 'Wicked Weekend', which continues to drift downward, slipping to No.29.

Prince Chigwida’s 'Ndiringei Mambo' records a modest drop to No.18, suggesting a brief slowdown after its recent surge.

Week 3 also introduces fresh names to the chart. And we are always excited about new entries simply because of the potential they possess and what they signal about listeners' attention dynamics. Runna Rulez's 'Nepi ' makes its debut at No.33, entering with measured impact, while Enzo Ishall’s 'Chibatamabvi' (Remix) featuring Oskid, Learn Zimbabwe and Shona Prince opens its account at No.39, expanding the song’s chart footprint through a collaborative rework.

The previous week’s new entries present mixed results in their follow up showing.

'Mwari Aripo' stands out as the week’s strongest performer, converting debut interest into a Top 2 placement. Joyful Praise Choir’s 'Takayedza (Jesu Anozvigona)', however, slips back to No.38, giving up ground after last week’s explosive movement, while other recent arrivals continue to test their staying power.
