The Hot100 Zimbabwe Chart is beginning to reveal its early power players as Week 2 of 2026 delivers subtle reshuffles at the top, controlled movement within the Top 10 and explosive climbs further down the list. While there is no huge change at the summit, the surrounding movement suggests pressure is quietly starting to build.
Mr Attention’s Handinyore has emerged as this week's number one, eclipsing Jah Prayzah's Ruzhowa which had enjoyed the top spot considerably. At this stage, the record is no longer riding on social media momentum alone. Its chart discipline is now beginning to point to genuine staying power as 2026 unfolds – Mr Attention's music is being streamed widely, and one can only guess what he has in store this year as his breakout hit enjoys unprecedented goodwill.
The Top 5 remains largely intact, with only marginal shifts recorded. Nutty O’s Too Much holds steady at No.2, continuing to loom as the closest challenger, while Jah Prayzah’s Ruzhowa slips to No.3, signifying its gradual decline after an early peak.
HLGM’s Mwari Aripo, is a new entry, showing impressive potential by securing number four, a strong indicator of early listener retention. Nashie Zim’s Kunge Redhiyo remains planted at No.5, quietly putting together one of the most stable runs on the chart so far.
Movement inside the Top 10 is measured but telling. Enzo Ishall’s Chibatamabvi featuring Oskid drops to No.6, with Takura’s Vendor sliding just below it. At No.7. Hulengende’s Kunge Ngirozi edges upward to No.8, continuing its steady climb, while Atenda Chinx’s Makoti rises to No.9, extending what has been a brilliant run over recent weeks. Raymer’s Kapoto records the biggest loss within the Top 10, falling three places to No.10.
Further down the chart, several records continue to demonstrate strong listener loyalty with no movement recorded. Master H’s Wakaluza holds firm at No.11, Oriyano’s Kamubhoga remains at No.12, while Freeman’s Bvira Vira stays rooted at No.23, all maintaining dependable chart positions.
The biggest stories this week, however, unfold in the lower half of the chart where momentum is far more dramatic. Joyful Praise Choir’s Takayedza (Jesu Anozvigona) rockets up 37 places to No.31, emerging as the week’s most powerful riser.
Shayne’s Mamvemve featuring Chillmaster delivers the chart’s biggest jump, surging an astonishing 43 spots to No.36. Minister Mahendere continues his strong showing with Bako Rangu leaping to No.17, while Messiah climbs steadily to No.30. Prince Chigwida’s Ndiringei Mambo also continues to gain traction, rising ten places to settle at No.14.
Two new records make cautious debuts on the chart this week. Mudiwa Hood’s Love & Affection featuring Takura and Shona Prince enters at No.37, while Celestial Chorus’ Kupenya Mugomo opens its chart account at No.40.
Last week’s new entries show mixed outcomes in their second week of action. HLGM’s Mwari Aripo remains the standout, holding firm inside the Top 5 and confirming its early impact.
Saintfloew’s Wicked Weekend slips to No.25, losing some of its initial momentum, while Holy Ten’s Muganhu suffers one of the week’s sharpest drops, falling to No.34.
