Zimbabwean Afro Jazz artist Mwendamberi is set to release his powerful new single “Hosanna” on 18 December, closing the year with a deeply spiritual and soul-stirring offering.
Hosanna is a contemplative prayer woven into melody, being a moment of surrender spoken directly to God. In this intimate piece, Mwendamberi poses a sacred question: “Lord, how must I present myself before You?”
Blending Afro Jazz, cultural textures and heartfelt worship, the song walks through themes of cleansing, guidance and reverence. The simplicity and emotional depth of Hosanna invite listeners to look inward and prepare their own hearts for the presence of God.
Speaking on its creation, Mwendamberi shares: “This song came from kneeling before God. Hosanna is my prayer to be cleansed, clothed in grace, and guided. I pray it becomes a moment of reflection and healing for every listener.”
