Netflix’s ‘Encounters’ revisits Zimbabwe’s most famous 1994 UFO incident in Ruwa

Netflix has just released an intriguing four-part Docuseries, titled ‘Encounters,’ taking viewers on a captivating cosmic detective journey into the perplexing realm of UFOs and alien encounters.

The first episode titled, ‘Believers,’ is a gripping account that takes viewers back to September 16, 1994, an unforgettable day etched in the memory of former Ariel School students from Ruwa, Zimbabwe when 62 young students, aged between 6 to 12, were bestowed with an extraordinary experience.

They were witness to strange spaceships and encountered mysterious, humanoid figures right in their own schoolyard.

This extraordinary event is regarded as one of the most significant UFO occurrences of the 20th century. 

It left an indelible mark on these young minds, their headmistress, and even a distinguished Harvard psychiatrist who came to investigate.

This docuseries takes viewers on an immersive journey, featuring interviews with a diverse range of experts and witnesses who lend their insights to these astonishing stories.

The Ariel School incident is not an isolated case of UFO sightings in Zimbabwe or around the world. 

According to the National UFO Reporting Center; there have been over 5,000 alleged UFO sightings in 2022 alone, with some still unexplained by conventional science.

The U.S. government has also released an unclassified report on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) in June 2021, revealing that out of 143 unexplained sightings between November 2004 and March 2021, only one UAP was later identified as a deflating balloon.

The report also acknowledged that some UAPs may be attributable to sensor anomalies or human error, but that some may represent physical objects that demonstrate advanced technology or extraterrestrial intelligence.
