TAKUDZWA HILLARY CHIWANZA
HARARE – One of the premier events in the electronic music scene in Zimbabwe, Carpe Diem, is back again in Harare and promising loads of unforgetteble memories, especially with a star-studded lineup of exceptional acts who'll be performing. The event, dubbed Episode 2 because it is now in its second edition, sees Ngoma Nehosho – the artist development and promotional company behind the event – bringing world-class musicial experiences to Harare.
Carpe Diem Episode 2 (and we know it will be a lively celebration of AfroHouse sounds) will be held on the 17th of May, 2025 at First Capital Bank Sports Club. And the one thing we love about it is that it is purely dedicated to "DJs and decks" – the perfect atmosphere for those who love to swim in the irresistible vibes of dance music.
The line-up of performing acts is both exciting and refreshing; bringing to the fore a mixture of upcoming and established acts sharing the decks. The headline acts include Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo, and Thakzin—South African acts widely respected globally for their brilliance in amapiano and 3-step house music respectively. And there will be Zimbabwean house DJs to make it a truly balanced affair—Jay, Mimi, TAPIWA, DJ Sfiso, DJ Ash T and MadeHerBelieve.
There can be no doubt that this will be a memorable event. Tickets can be purchased at Cafe Nush Avondale, Cafe Nush Borrowdale Village Walk, Cafe Nush Highland Park, and Techtools Gadget Garage. General access is going for $40, while VIP is pegged at $80.
For anyone looking for the perfect house music event to attend, Carpe Diem Harare is your best bet; for this is 12 hours of non-stop premium enjoyment. The most exciting part is that it is now in its second year, having debuted in 2024 with the likes of Prince Kaybee, Oscar Mbo, Morda and Sun El Musician being the headliners. So it can only get more interesting from here.
“Carpe Diem is more than just a party – it’s a movement. Bringing together some of the finest DJs and performers, we are curating a day where music lovers can truly seize the moment and immerse themselves in an extraordinary audiovisual spectacle. Expect top-tier production, state-of-the-art sound, and an electrifying crowd that will make this a night to remember,” read part of a statement when Ngoma Nehosho announced Episode 2 in February. So, just know that it's going to be a vibe – because after all is said and done, this is a huge movement.
