Call to Worship Celebrates 18 Years with Historic Musical Revival at Harare Gardens

All is set for the 18th edition of the annual Call to Worship night of praise, scheduled for Saturday, 03 October 2026, at the Harare Gardens from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Running under the theme “Ishe Ngaavongwe — Be Exalted, Oh Lord” derived from Psalms 108:5, this year’s gathering marks nearly two decades of continuous intercessory worship and gospel music ministering in Zimbabwe. The ministerial lineup features the flagship Call to Worship Choir alongside guest worship ministers Blessing Jeduthun and One Six.

In an exclusive interview, Call to Worship Marketing Director Happy Mare shared that the theme was birthed through deliberate prayer and spiritual devotion rather than arbitrary selection.

"Our visionaries have been blessed with sensitivity to the things of God and are totally subscribed in His worship," Mare noted. "The theme will be expressed in music as we worship, alongside declarations for our God, our families, and our nation."

Reflecting on the journey since its inception, organizers describe the 18th anniversary as a testament to faith, grace, and endurance.

A major highlight distinguishing this year’s edition from past gatherings is the unveiling of original music written and produced by the ministry's internal music wing.

"This edition God gave us a choir that is different, in that we will be releasing our own music written in the corridors of prayer," Mare explained.

Over the last 18 years, Call to Worship Global has served as a foundational launchpad for Zimbabwean gospel talent, grooming and equipping numerous high-profile ministers who have gone on to shape the national gospel landscape.

Beyond the flagship annual event, the movement continues its grassroots evangelism and outreach initiatives across the country. The team recently conducted revival programs and worship sessions in Mabvuku, Mutare, and at the National Prayer Conference.

Looking toward the future, the ministry plans to expand its footprint beyond local borders.

"We are moving forward and our desire is to spread this worship all over Zimbabwe and the nations beyond," Mare stated. "As for the 20th edition and beyond, we submit everything unto God, the Author and the Finisher."

The event is open to the public, with gates opening early at the Harare Gardens to accommodate worshipers seeking a night of spiritual revival, healing, and fellowship.
