Simba Bhora edge Dynamos at Wadzanai Stadium
In a closely competed match, Simba Bhora edged out Dynamos with a 1-0 win courtesy of a Walter Musona strike.
The lone goal was enough to separate the two sides in what was a tense and competitive encounter.
The result sees Simba Bhora moving into second place, while Dembare dropped to 14th place. And this will complicate the prospects of the youthful Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe.
Bikita Minerals stun Bulawayo Chiefs
Bikita Minerals turned their dominance into a convincing 2-0 win over Bulawayo Chiefs.
Their strong performance on the field showcased their determination and asserted intent to stay in the league come end of the season.
The Bulawayo Ninjas struggled to find their rhythm in this game.
Ngezi Platinum hold Highlanders at Baobab
Highlanders maintained their unbeaten run and their lead at the top despite dropping points at the Baobab Stadium on Saturday in a tightly contested match against Ngezi Platinum that ended in a 1-1 draw. .
Walter Vuwa’s third minute strike gave Madamburo an early lead but failed to capitalize on that lead. Ngezi managed to control the game in possession but also did not create many chances
Highlanders got their breakthrough from a penalty ten minutes into the second halfwhich was converted by Lynoth Chikuhwa for his fourth goal of the season
Both teams displayed solid defensive tactical play making it a challenging game for either side to clinch a victory.
Elsewhere
After a run of poor form, Yadah emerged victorious in a high-scoring affair against Telone, winning 3-2. Any match with plenty of goals makes it an exciting spectacle for the fans.
Chegutu Pirates claimed a 2-1 victory over Hwange and Manica Diamonds secured a hard-fought 2-1 win against Herentals, their second victory of the season.
Arenel Movers and FC Platinum played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with the Platinum Boys coming from 2 down as Caps United and ZPC Kariba also battled to a 1-1 draw at Rufaro Stadium.
Overall, matchday 6 provided plenty of football drama and entertainment for football enthusiasts.
With teams battling hard for every point, the competition remains fierce and unpredictable as we progress through the season.
