Warriors gear up for World Cup qualifiers with Botswana friendly on Saturday

The Zimbabwe men's football national team, the Warriors, will face Botswana in a warm-up match ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

The international friendly will take place on Saturday 14 October 2023 at the National Sports Stadium in Harare, with kick-off at 1500 hours.

The Warriors squad will feature a mix of local and foreign-based players, who will start arriving for camp on Wednesday. The squad list will be announced once all logistical issues have been sorted out.

The match against Botswana is expected to be a tough test for Zimbabwe, who are in a challenging group in the World Cup qualifiers. Zimbabwe is in Group C with Lesotho, South Africa, Benin, and Nigeria.

Zimbabwe's first match will be away to Rwanda on November 13, followed by a home game against Nigeria on November 21.

Tickets are going for the following prices: $5 Rest of the Ground; $10 Bay 15-18; and $50 VIP.

The match will also be broadcast live on national television and radio.
