Matchday 16 of the Castle Lager Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) saw had its fair share of interesting and disappointing results and scores in equal measure. Highlanders edged Mutare side Manica Diamonds 1-0 at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo, maintaining an unbeaten run in the league as well as top position on the log standings.
Bosso registered the narrow victory courtesy of defender Peter Muduhwa’s goal in the 27th minute of the match.
With this victory – the fifth consecutive win for Highlanders – the Bulawayo side enjoys a 4-point lead at the top of the log standings. Such has been their confident run.
Dynamos dropped 3 points in their match against Green Fuel; falling to Nqobile Ndlovu’s solitary goal.
Chicken Inn emerged triumphant when they faced Yadah Stars – with goal from Marlvin Hwata and a brace from Michael Charamba securing the Gamecocks’ convincing victory.
Ngezi Platinum Stars retained their momentum with a goal from Vincent Kadonzvo securing a 1-0 victory over struggling Cranborne Bullets for the Mhondoro-based side.
Highlanders maintain number one position on the Zim PSL log standings with 34 points, followed by Ngezi Platinum with 30 points; with Manica Diamonds and FC Platinum on 26 points each.
