Bulawayo-born DJ, producer and radio personality Ryan Synth, has joined fellow Zimbabwean producer Dr Feel on “Lele,” a collaborative Afro House track set to feature on Inner Visions, a forthcoming compilation bringing together 16 artists from Zimbabwe’s electronic music scene.
The project, curated by Dr Feel, is scheduled for release in November 2026 through South African house label Mansa Musa Records, with the compilation bringing together established and emerging voices working across Afro House and electronic music.
For Ryan, “Lele” adds another collaboration to a career that has stretched across DJing, production, radio and international performance for more than a decade.
He began producing around 2009–2010 after being introduced to FL Studio by his cousin. Since then, he has become a familiar figure in Zimbabwe’s electronic music circuit, performing across clubs, festivals and lifestyle events in Zimbabwe and internationally.
His touring history includes performances in South Africa, Botswana, Australia and Kenya, with international appearances in Botswana and South Africa in 2022, Australia in 2024 and Kenya in 2025. His Australian run included appearances at Jozi Day Vibes in Perth, Munch & Sip in Adelaide and Belair New Year’s Day in Melbourne.
Over the years, Ryan has shared line-ups with artists including Sun-El Musician, Young Stunna, Musa Keys, Oscar Mbo, Morda Bongz, Da Capo, DJ Maphorisa and Major League DJz, while performing across House, Afro House, Afro-Tech, Amapiano and Afro-Fusion.
His production catalogue stretches back to the early 2010s and includes projects such as Less Is More EP (2020) and EL JEFE EP (2024), alongside singles, collaborations and remixes.
One of his notable milestones came with “Bakumelele,” his collaboration with Paula Palomo, which won Best House/Gqom! Song at the inaugural Skyz Metro FM Music Awards in 2017.
Ryan has also maintained a presence in radio, with work and mix sessions associated with platforms including Gabs FM, Power ACE Radio, Star FM and ZiFM Stereo.
“Lele” now places Ryan alongside 15 other Zimbabwean artists on Inner Visions, a project aimed at highlighting the breadth of the country's contemporary electronic music movement.
“Inner Visions is a beautiful reflection of the creativity, diversity and evolution of Zimbabwe’s Afro House sound. I’m excited to contribute to a project that brings different artists and sounds together while showcasing the depth of our local music scene to a wider audience.”
The compilation features DJ Stavo, Nitefreak, Dr Chaii, Ryan Synth, MIčI, Reverb, TAPIWA, Simbai, Tashinga, Shona (SA), PA NGU, Afro Wav, Takue SBT, Josh Major, Daphfinee and Taarof Adder.
