Phreshy released the video for Why off Dzerudo EP in which she seeks answers to some of the toughest questions relating to matters of the heart. The video for Why stars Chris James and was directed by Tatenda Zhou.

The video shows shots where Phreshy heightens the experience of romantic frustration and desperation, as she tries all she can to decode what her experiences with her man could mean. The video contrasts the present with past experiences as flashbacks of rosy times are shown. From love shared to incessant arguments and hurling insults.

Phreshy makes a valiant attempt at personifying loneliness, asking poignant questions that seemingly remain unanswered. Using the common phrase, Phreshy is exasperated with the toxic relationship she shares with her partner.

The South African-based artist favours softer and soulful melodies on the song, deviating from her usual rap styles. And the RnB song is blissful in its own right.

It is a video in which she is aware that presentation matters, and she is executed that masterfully. Everything about Phreshy is lovely in the video.
