HARARE – After a calculated period of silence, Zimbabwe’s Fire Emoji hitmaker Leo Magozz is back, and promises to deliver a banger. The multi-award-winning artist has teamed up with South Africa’s Murumba Pitch (of Hamba Juba fame) for a brand new single titled Benita, dropping 18 August 2025 on all digital platforms.
The track promises to be a continental celebration of romance. Benita, a name meaning "the blessed one," is a sonic tribute to a woman of remarkable beauty and grace. The single is engineered to be both a dance floor filler and a heartfelt ode, blending Leo Magozz’s signature smooth vocals and romantic lyrics with the infectious grooves that have made Murumba Pitch a household name.
The collaboration, which took place in Harare, showcases a masterful fusion of Zimbabwean soul and South African flavor. The production of Benita was a collaborative effort, with Leo Magozz and Murumba Pitch teaming up with renowned producers DJ Tamuka and Kay Bee of Shashl’s Studio.
