Zim Afro T10 Opening Match Postponed For ‘A Glittering Opening Ceremony’, Fixture Schedule Slightly Changed

The opening match of the inaugural Zim Afro T10 cricket competition in Zimbabwe pitting the Harare Hurricanes and Bulawayo Braves has been postponed. The match will be now set for tomorrow (Friday 21 July 2023) at 1500 hrs.

The adjustment was effected to make way for a glittering opening ceremony held at Harare Sports Club in the capital today.

The President, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially open the first edition of the Zim Cyber City Zim Afro T10.

Zimbabwe’s luminary contemporary music icon Jah Prayzah will headline the entertainment line-up for this historic day, joined by the talented Feli Nandi and renowned Bollywood actress and model Elnaaz Norouzi.

Except for this one change, the tournament will proceed as scheduled, with three matches set to take place on Friday.

The final is set to remain on the 29th of July. Moreover, it will be loads of entertainment galore throughout the whole tournament off the field as well with performances from Zimbabwe’s top musicians such as Alick Macheso, Sulumani Chimbetu, Nutty O, Janet Manyowa and Hope Masike.

Admission to the opening ceremony is free, while tickets for match days are priced at $2 for rest of the ground, $5 for the embankment section and $10 for Centurion area, Harare Sports Club.
