BULAWAYO — South Africa-founded automotive service provider Kemptonion Mag Repair has officially expanded its operations to Zimbabwe, establishing a new operational base in Bulawayo.

Kemptonion Mag Rim Repairs launches Bulawayo branch, offering promotion

Founded in 2020 in South Africa by Zimbabwean entrepreneurs Lloyd Sibangani and Emmanuel Muzenda, the company built its reputation on high-precision alloy wheel restoration, fast turnaround times, and technical workmanship. The move to open a Zimbabwean branch at 14125 Thorngrove in Bulawayo marks a strategic shift toward bringing professional, high-grade rim repairs closer to local motorists.

With Zimbabwean road conditions placing significant strain on vehicle suspensions and alloy wheels, unaddressed rim damage—such as cracks, bends, and structural compromises—poses a direct hazard to motorists. Kemptonion Mag Repair’s service suite directly targets these safety issues.

The Bulawayo workshop offers a full spectrum of specialized services, including; Precision Wheel Straightening, Aluminium Welding & Crack Repairs, Curb Rash Repairs & Full Refurbishment plus Custom Rim Finishes & Professional Painting.

"Our vision is to become Southern Africa's leading mag wheel repair and refurbishment company by focusing on quality, innovation, and reliable service," said co-founder Lloyd Sibangani. "Our core mission is to restore every wheel to the highest safety and cosmetic standards while remaining affordable for the everyday driver".

The establishment of the Bulawayo workshop represents a broader trend of diaspora-led reinvestment into the local economy. Sibangani, who moved to South Africa in 2016 before co-founding the business with Muzenda, highlighted that the expansion is aimed at both serving the market and upskilling local youth in specialized automotive metalwork.

"Expanding home allows us to build technical capacity locally, share specialized engineering skills with young people across the region, and create employment," Sibangani added.
