ZIMSPHERE
It's Week 1 of February 2026 on the Hot100 Zimbabwe chart, and there is still no movement at the very top. Mr Attention has maintained a firm grip on number one with “Handinyore,” extending his reign at the top to four consecutive weeks this year. What’s changing however is everything beneath him.
The top five reflects a chart quietly resetting itself. “Mwari Aripo” remains steady at number two, but it’s the new arrivals and sudden movers that define the week.
Josh Chitima’s “Zvichaita Chete,” another AI generated song, storms straight into number three. Jnr Spragga delivers the biggest moment of the week with “Tinodanana,” which rockets 43 places to number four. Oriyano’s “Jolai Nengirozi” rounds out the top five as another fresh entry benefiting from the current turnover.
That turnover is most visible in the gradual slide of last year’s heavyweights. ’s “Ruzhowa” drops to number six, continuing a steady loss of momentum that’s becoming harder to ignore.
Nashie Zim’s “Kunge Redhiyo” also slips, while songs that once felt immovable — “Vendor,” “Too Much,” and even “Chibatamabvi”, are now all heading downward at pace. The numbers suggest streaming support for late 2025 favourites is thinning out.
The middle of the chart is where the reshuffle feels most aggressive. Nutty O’s “Too Much” falls six places to eleven, Atenda Chinx’s “Makoti” dips to twelve, and Takura’s “Vendor” slides eight spots to seventeen. In contrast, Michael Mahendere’s “Bako Rangu” climbs into the teens, while the “Handinyore Remix” makes a notable jump into the top fifteen, showing that familiarity still works – just not for everyone.
Lower down, Holy Ten’s “Personal” posts one of the strongest climbs of the week, jumping nineteen places to number twenty-nine, while several former climbers begin to stall.
Prince Chigwida’s “Mazambara” suffers one of the sharpest drops on the chart, falling eighteen places to thirty-three, and Saintfloew’s “Wicked Weekend” continues its slide. New entries such as “Ndezvenyu,” “Ndakanyudzwa,” “Lalala,” and “Pane Achachema” quietly enter the picture, adding to the sense that the chart is actively making room.
