ZIMSPHERE
The Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards are officially back for their milestone 15th edition and this year, it’s all about Cultural Estate. The celebration goes down on December 12, 2025, at Zimbali Gardens in Greendale, Harare, powered by Liquor Supplies.
As the longest running and first ever Hip Hop awards show in Africa, ZHHA continues to carry the torch for the culture. The awards aim to uplift and spotlight young creatives shaping Zimbabwean music through innovation, hustle, and community.
Despite the challenges that have hit the culture in recent years, the movement remains resilient. ZHHA founder Aldrian “Beefy” Harrison says this year’s theme 'Cultural Estate' represents “a home for everything Hip Hop stands for in Zimbabwe: creativity, identity, and legacy.”
Honouring Legends and Building Legacy
This year’s edition will see Desmond “Stunner” Chideme receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, cementing his role as one of the architects of Zim Hip Hop. The awards will also pay tribute to the late Babongile Sikhonjwa, honouring his contribution to cultural commentary and community building.
In a move that ties art to activism, ZHHA will launch an anti-drug abuse campaign running throughout 2026 .
