Dynamos Football Club has announced the appointment of Saul Chaminuka as their new head coach replacing Lloyd "MaBlanyo" Chigowe. Chaminuka, who is a seasoned and respected coach, joins the club at a critical time where the club is struggling in 16th place on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table, with just eight points from 11 matches.
Chaminuka brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously coached Kwekwe United, Black Rhinos, and ZPC Kariba. In 2014, he came close to winning the league title with ZPC Kariba only losing out on the final day of the season. His appointment is seen as a boost to Dynamos' hopes of turning their season around.
Chaminuka's first assignment will be a challenging clash against CAPS United in the Harare Derby at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday. The match promises to be an exciting encounter as both the struggling teams are looking to make an impact. Dynamos have won only one match this season and winning the derby on Sunday will be a significant morale boost for the team.
Chaminuka will be assisted by a team of experienced coaches including Philemon Mutyakureva as assistant coach and Marlon Jani as goalkeepers' coach. Takesure Chinyama will continue in his role as strikers' coach, while Ronald Sibanda remains the team manager and Washington Lusengo retains his position as kit manager.
Dynamos' fans are hopeful that Chaminuka's appointment will bring changes in fortunes for the club.
