Beitbridge men convicted in sodomy case

BEITBRIDGE – Two men, Ayanda Nkomo, 26, and Will Jaricha, 28, were convicted of sodomy charges and fined USD$150 each by the Beitbridge Magistrates' Court, according to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

The incident occurred on March 31, 2024, at the Konka Night Club in Beitbridge. 

The accused left the club around 2340 hours and were seen entering a nearby toilet while hugging each other. 

Suspicious of their behavior, two security personnel from the club followed them. 

Upon entering the toilet, they found the accused caressing each other around the waist and kissing, with the first accused's manhood exposed. 

Despite an attempt to flee, the first accused was apprehended and the police were alerted, leading to their arrest. 

In default of payment, the accused face 120 days of imprisonment.
