Chevrons around the globe: Sikandar Raza named Saint Lucia Kings captain

Zimbabwe cricket star, Sikandar Raza, has been named the new captain of the Caribbean Premier League team, Saint Lucia Kings. Raza will be taking over from Faf Du Plessis, who had to withdraw due to an elbow injury requiring surgery.

Raza views this appointment as a responsibility and expressed confidence in the team’s focus and determination to succeed. He praised Du Plessis for his previous work and wished him a speedy recovery.

The all-rounder's elevation to captaincy comes on the back of his outstanding performance in the team’s recent victory, where he was named player of the match. It was a complete all-round performance as he scored a quick-fire 32 off 23 balls and took two wickets for 31 runs.
