poetry by Rutendo Anne Rusere

They were rarely

At the same spot

On the same time

So I grew up

Tattered and Broken, longing

For what should Have been, but wasn't

Couldn't get both At the same time, it hurt,

It still hurts but the Wound has Scarred,

It Almost healed

But I will never

Forget those years ...

It's because Of That I've vowed

To make my House a good Home, for you And the kids

But mostly for me. A home

Where you and I

Will always be there.
