Zimbabwean singer Shashl is set to release her new single, Heal, on 3 July 2026, featuring award-winning artist Freeman HKD. The release will be accompanied by an official music video.
Heal explores the emotional aftermath of heartbreak, telling the story of a woman grappling with the pain of feeling taken for granted by someone she believed would remain by her side for life. Through heartfelt lyrics, the song captures themes of loss, regret and reconciliation as the male perspective also emerges, expressing remorse and a desire to mend the relationship.
The collaboration brings together two of Zimbabwe's established contemporary artists, with Freeman HKD lending his distinctive vocals alongside Shashl in what marks another notable addition to both artists' catalogues.
The single is expected to form part of a broader slate of releases Shashl has planned for 2026.
She has continued to build momentum in recent years through a string of releases and collaborations, while also expanding her reach beyond Zimbabwe. And Heal marks her latest offering as she continues to grow her presence on the African music scene.
