Shats Music releases heartfelt video for "Usandikanganwe"

KUDZAI CHITSATSO

Afro-jazz artist Shats Music, born Tawanda Chishato, has released a touching new video for his song "Usandikanganwe," from his latest album Emergency.

The Chirundu-based musician explained that the song, produced by acclaimed producer Clive Mono Mukundu, was inspired by the sacrifices and struggles parents endure to raise their children.

"‘Usandikanganwe’ is about the fights and challenges our parents faced while bringing us up," Shats Music shared in an interview with ZimSphere. "It reminds us not to despise our humble beginnings because they’re a crucial part of who we are."

Shats Music revealed that fans can look forward to two new singles before the end of the month.

"The song and video for ‘Usandikanganwe’ are part of my previous album Emergency, and I’m currently working on my fourth album," he said.

The artist, who began recording professionally in 2019, has already released three albums, with Emergency being his latest.

Shats Music’s foray into the music industry was inspired by other musicians, and he continues to channel that motivation into his own work.

"I started composing music after being inspired by other artists,"he explained. "This year, I’m focused on growing my career and creating more cultural music."

The official video for Usandikanganwe is now available on Shats Music’s YouTube channel.
