HEXCO 2023 examinations results out; improved pass rates announced

HARARE – The Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) has announced the release of the November/December 2023 examination results. 

HEXCO 2023 results in Zimbabwe are out. 

The results span from the National Foundation Certificate to the Higher National Diploma level.

The announcement was made by Professor Fanuel Tagwira, the Permanent Secretary for Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, in a statement issued on Wednesday, February 7.

Professor Tagwira stated, "The Permanent Secretary for Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor F. Tagwira wishes to announce that the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) November/December 2023 National Foundation Certificate (NFC) to Higher National Diploma (HND) results have been released."

He extended his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the national examination system and in the teaching and learning processes. 

"He wishes to thank the lecturers, the students, parents/guardians, the examination staff and all stakeholders involved in the national examination system and in the teaching and learning processes," the statement read.

The permanent secretary highlighted the collective efforts of these stakeholders have led to a notable increase in the pass rate. 

"Their contribution has enabled the pass rate to rise from 60% in 2022 to 68% for this examination session," Professor Tagwira added.

In conclusion, Professor Tagwira advised all HEXCO Centres to collect the results from their respective regions starting from Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
