The 17-member ODI squad for the upcoming series includes all-rounder and recent limited-overs captain Dasun Shanaka. Despite being relieved of his captaincy and experiencing a period of average form, Shanaka secured a spot in the final shortlisted squad.

Previously, an extended preliminary squad had been announced, appointing Kusal Mendis as captain and Charith Asalanka as vice-captain. Notably, Angelo Mathews, who had been recalled to the squad during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India, did not make it to the final selection.

The Sri Lanka cricket team will host Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series starting on January 6, 2024.

As per the Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe ODIs 2024 schedule, all the matches will be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
